Bio & Circular Finland

The packaging market in Germany is becoming more and more important. In 2019 the German packaging industry had a domestic turnover of 18,2 billion Euros and the packaging consumption was around 15 million tons.

The New Packaging Act (since January 2019) is aiming for more sustainability. 85% of German consumers believe sustainable packaging is crucial and purchasing decisions are made accordingly. Therefore the need for new solutions is growing rapidly in the retail, food and beverage sectors.

Germany is a key market for many Finnish companies and Finland is known for bio-based expertise and innovative solutions. As a result, Business Finland is offering Finnish packaging companies the opportunity to learn about the German market and to present Finnish solutions to the German packaging industry.

Join us on 29th October for a Finnish-German innovative packaging workshop!
