17:00 Arrival in Tertti Manor
Tertti Manor is a functioning farm with its own herb garden and eco-certified forest, which has been owned by the same family since the late 1800's. The stunning manor house serves as a delightful restaurant serving fresh, local food in historical surroundings. The five farm hotel rooms are cosy and close to nature – you will be sure to sleep soundly and wake up to the sweet sound of silence.
The culinary delights of Tertti Manor are regionally and nationally renowned. Their food philosophy is based on clean, local ingredients, mostly grown on their own land. You will get a peek of their delicious farming cellar full of produce from the summer and autumn gone and hear fascinating stories of life at the manor house from years gone by.

Forest suite rooms are equipped with a 180cm king bed. A forest view rushes through the windows facing north. The forest suite is equipped with a spacious bathroom. The Forest village is located right by our nature trails and it is only 500 meters away from the reception.
Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän is a vibrant resort with plenty of activities or peace and quiet, whatever your preference. Nestled in a bay of Lake Saimaa, the resort offers luxury accommodation, an amazing spa and lots of nature activities. The resort has been run by Heiskanen family since 1658 and is steeped in tradition. You may even spot a curious Saimaa ringed seal here – the rarest seal in the world with a population of only over 400.

This unique dining room, seating up to 220 people, is surrounded by a glass wall and the wine cellar consisting of an impressive wine collection has been carved the rock.

Järvisydän's Lake Spa will give you a new kind of Finnish lake wellness experience. The spa is built in the middle of the natural rocks and the large windows overlook Lake Saimaa. In the middle of the spa you can find the heart of the lake - a heart-shaped natural pond. Natural materials are used for Lake Spa's genuine and exciting experience. Rugged rock walls, natural stone tiles, pools with natural rock bottoms and the twinkling lights will bring ancient times to the present day. A fire flames in the fireplace, candles twinkle around the spa and daylight shimmers from the fissures in the rock.

The Finnish sauna is probably up to 10 000 years old. The prehistoric sauna has come a long way to the modern electric saunas with their high-tech sauna stoves, but the traditional wood-heated sauna or smoke sauna are still the most popular options at cottages. The health benefits of sauna have been known for centuries. In sauna, the skin temperature and pulse rise, metabolism speeds up and aching muscles relax. Sauna soothes and makes you feel calm and also improves your sleep. Sauna is pure health!

Pistohiekka Resort is one of the finest beach resorts at the shores of Lake Saimaa. Surrounded by magnificent nature and Lake Saimaa, Pistohiekka is part of Saimaa UNESCO Global Geopark with many attractions nearby. The resort consists of two main buildings and ten cottages for accommodation. The beach restaurant with a fantastic lake view is famous for its architecture and a popular attraction in its own right. The restaurant offers tasty local food, and its terrace is a perfect place to enjoy warm summer days or dark autumn nights. Their saunas are a great way to relax and wind down from the day's activities.

Canoeing and kayaking in Saimaa region is truly the way to experience the beauty of nature. Everything else is stripped away; there is only you and the world around you. There's no city noise; there's only the small waves lapping against your boat. There's no motor working for you; you'll feel the water with every stroke. There's no walls or windows; only the breeze in your hair and the smell of the water. In your canoe, or kayak, you rise and fall with every wave and feel at one with nature.

Transfer to Sahanlahti Resort
Sahanlahti is a small, family run resort with hotel and cottage accommodation and three restaurants serving the best of local food made from seasonal ingredients. All restaurants offer the most amazing lakeside views and the small guest harbour hosts visitors from near and far in the summertime. Built around an old sawmill, Sahanlahti is steeped in history and has a story or two to tell you as you wander around the resort.

Muisti Centre of War and Peace is a modern museum which examines the effects of war from the perspective of human experience. The interactive exhibition at Muisti enables you to understand what war felt like for those who were confronted by it, how it affected society at the time, and how it still affects it today. Muisti Centre of War and Peace shares experiences of war in order to promote peace. Muisti is for those who are interested in the history of war, and especially for those who are not.
