The Wilderness Center serves as a base camp for the majority of Star Arctic Hotels activities. Meet our furry friends – Siberian huskies and reindeer at the Wilderness Center or try out your luck with ice-fishing on our private lake. We offer activities for guests of all ages, and activity durations vary between 2 to 5 hours. Catering also for private functions.

Saariselka Ski is the Northernmost skiing resort in Europe. Our center is built on the two beautiful fells of Kaunispää and Iisakkipää. The slopes are suitable for all skill levels. And if you don't feel like skiing – no problem! We offer all kind of fun winter sport activities like snowshoeing, fatbiking and tobogganing. Our tobogganing slope is the longest one in Finland. The slope is illuminated with Aurora Experience-light art, which can be best experienced during polar night season in December and January, when it is dark also during daytime.
