Visit to Helsinki Distillery´s whisky cellar
The Helsinki Distilling Company (HDCO) has significantly expanded its services during the corona pandemic. Helsinki's only whiskey and gin distillery has built a whiskey cellar in the ice cellar of the former Sörnäinen brewery, where more than 100,000 liters of domestic whiskey are matured in oak barrels. Thick walls of the basement, which are up to eight meters high and vaulted, are made of natural stone boulders. The space is unique in the international whiskey world.
The basement will make the Helsinki distillery an extensive food tourism destination, where you can get acquainted with the production, maturation and taste of whiskeys and enjoy the offer of the distillery restaurant. In addition to hundreds of oak barrels, the basement has meeting and event facilities for up to 50 people and a bar built for whiskey tasting
