According to Argus Spectrum International, the construction of the Savonlinna factory began in March 2019 with an empty building and was completed very fast. In October, the production facility already passed the rigorous ISO 9001 audit of BRE Global and was awarded the highly regarded LPCB mark. The investment in Savonlinna will create more than 100 jobs and have a significant impact on the region’s economy as well as doubling the company’s production capacity.
"The two factories of the company located within 300km of each other – in St Petersburg and in Savonlinna – provide the highest level of reliability and guarantee the safety of supply to our partners and customers," says Sergey Levchuk, Director General of Argus Spectrum International, in a statement. "Our mission is to develop and pioneer new technologies in the field of wireless fire and security detection and to deliver our products to the global markets."
Both manufacturing facilities produce wireless fire detection products designed to the requirements of EN54, certified by LPCB/BRE Global and carry the LPCB and CE marks.
Business Finland provided consulting support for Argus Spectrum International on business establishment, work permits, residence permits, the availability of financial support, and also initiated the company’s negotiations with Finnvera, the Finnish state-owned financing company.

According to Sergey Sinelnikov,Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Finland, the investment by Argus Spectrum International will not only boost the company’s export earnings growth but will also help it to enter the most competitive markets of manufactured products certified by European approval bodies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Savonlinna Janne Laine warmly welcomed the arrival of the Russian company. "We are proud that one of the world-leading manufacturers of fire detection and security systems created its new manufacturing facility in Savonlinna. We confirm, from our part, our willingness to provide favourable conditions for further growth and development of this high-tech production in our town."
