Nigeria E-health business opportunities

Join us on Thursday 26.11.2020 at 10:00 – 11.00 to engage with potential Nigerian partners and healthcare professionals in understanding how to tap into the E-health Business Opportunities in Nigeria. This event will also serve as the official launch of the E-health Opportunities in Nigeria for Finnish Companies market research facilitated by Business Finland. This study will be shared after the webinar.

With a population of over 206 million people, the need for eHealth in a country like Nigeria cannot be overemphasized especially now with the covid-19 pandemic. Efforts to develop the Nigerian healthcare system are hindered by several challenges including limited funding, high incidence of communicable and non-communicable diseases, elevated infant and maternal mortality rates. Now there is a vast interest in developing the Nigerian healthcare system especially by the private sector.

Join us to listen, partner and learn how your company can benefit from the opportunities available. The webinar will look into the enablers, demand and potential challenges for Finnish E-health solution providers in Nigeria.

South Africa health tech business opportunities

Join us for a webinar on Thursday 26.11.2020 at 11:30 – 12:30 with the main goals to:

  • create access to information and sources
  • profile Finnish and South African stakeholders for further engagement
  • promote partnerships, collaboration, business and joint R&D.

South Africa’s health sector provides a ripe market for investment, collaboration and growth. One reputable Finnish company in the sector calls South Africa “a market with great potentials”.

Discussions with various stakeholders highlighted that there are four key routes to access the market in South Africa, including:

  • private hospital groups – the market is dominated by three groups, namely Netcare, Life and Mediclinic, which collectively account for 80% of private hospital beds and 90% of hospital admissions
  • trade – distributors / integrators
  • medical aid schemes and insurers – dominated by three players, including Discovery, Momentum Health and Medscheme  (a subsidiary of AfroCentric Health)
  • public sector

South African health care is modernizing, and this generates new business opportunities. Business Finland’s market study shows interesting fields of opportunity:

  1. AI for scoring patient data
  2. Innovative diagnostics through devices, wearables, imaging, chatbots and others
  3. Outcomes-Based and Preventive Healthcare
  4. Integrated medical record systems
  5. Robotic surgery

The research includes contact details of stakeholders and influencers, as well as concrete business leads. The full document is available on demand.
