Business Finland's AI Business program helps companies in all fields of business to utilize and gain new value from their data. Thus, we are piloting a coaching & workshop series this fall together with Futurice. Alongside the coaching, we are publishing a webinar-bundle related to the topic.
The coaching is intended for companies that want to achieve a competitive edge by utilizing their data efficiently. You will learn how to create a data-driven business model, clarify your competitive advantage and find ways to execute a cultural transformation in your organization. After the coaching, you should be able to start your journey towards a more data-driven business.
Practicalities
The series is in the form of four workshops, different exercises and network meetings, and coached by Futurice's experts. You will form a network with your fellow attending companies, with whom you can discuss and share ideas. The series can fit 12 companies in maximum.
The course will start in the beginning of October and continues to December. We are hoping to be able to hold the workshops physically in Helsinki. However, if the COVID-19 situation requires it, the workshops are virtual. The language of the series is in either Finnish or English depending on the attendees. The coaching and workshops are free of charge.

HOW TO APPLY?
Attending company criteria
- Finnish small or medium sized company with international business
- The company has generated data that can be utilized and wants to gain new business value from it
- With the help from the coaching series, the company is devoted to starting a transformation process into becoming a data-driven business
- Attending the coaching series requires openness towards other companies, as you will be sharing your thoughts, ideas and data with other attendees and coaches. For that reason, we will not take competing companies to the coaching.
- The company is willing to give feedback to Business Finland after the coaching.
Human resources
- Two people are required from each attending company to take part in the coaching and workshops. We believe it is more effective to have a pair that can bounce off ideas together and represent different parts of the organization.
- The persons should be:
- One person responsible for business development
- One person who knows the company data
- Both persons are devoted to take initiative in the transformation process of their own organization
- Workshops 4 x 4 h per person
- Exercises and webinars (before and after workshops) 0.5-1 person-days depending on company maturity.
Application for the coaching series has ended.
Assessment
The company should fulfil the criteria given above and answer all the questions in their application.
An ideal attendee has ideas about using their data, has the ability to throw themselves during the workshops and has a real passion for developing their business and organization.
In a case that there are over 12 companies applying for the coaching, Business Finland will evaluate based on the applications, for which companies the coaching will be the most beneficial, and which companies would form the most diverse and cooperative group. Business Finland makes the final decision of chosen companies.

As we can only take a limited amount of companies in the coaching and workshops, we want to share some knowledge with the rest of you as well. Alongside the coaching, we are publishing four webinars with the same theme as this coaching series, which you can access whenever.
The webinars are published during the fall on the AI Business program website.
