In order to ensure the coaching sessions are interactive and focused on specific needs, the sessions are limited to a maximum of ten companies (maximum two persons from each company).
Nicholas Coutts
Nicholas was IBM’s VP, Global Distribution Channel Strategy with a revenue of >$3bn of sales via business partners. His responsibility included the development of methods and processes known as Routes to Market, to reach and support customers via the network of 48,000 business partners. Nick’s experience in channels includes working as a value added reseller, a systems integrator, a distributor and a vendor. He was the moderator for the partner council for HP Software Europe; advising HP devise its programme for managing the brand experience for end users via partners. Nick has also designed and implemented systems in manufacturing and services industries, including aerospace, automotive, fire safety, digital printing and electronics. Nick is a member of the Innovation Advisory Board of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Since 2003, Nick has been a partner of Business Finland, facilitating client workshops on channel strategy, routes to market, service design and service delivery.
Nick’s session will give the participants a set of simple frameworks to design and implement their channel strategy and service design. Each participant will choose frameworks relevant to their business and apply them during the session. Complimentary support will be provided after the workshop, answering questions as they arise followed by a one-hour clinic for each company three months following the seminar to review the implementation.
Andy York
Andy is a brand consultant specialising in brand language. He helps organisations and businesses use language more imaginatively, analytically and strategically to engage the audience in the ways that count. Originally an advertising agency creative director and founder, Andy became involved in branding when asked to devise and write the first brand storytelling project for Ericsson. After subsequently working for many of the world’s leading brand consultancies, he became Director of Verbal Identity for Interbrand, the world’s largest brand consultancy. Andy works with organisations across all sectors, sizes and stages of development. Andy’s clients include: Arup, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Eurostar, McLaren, The Yacht Company, All England Club (Wimbledon), Aviva and leading Portuguese insurance group, Tranquilidade.
Andy’s session will help the participants develop a clearer appreciation of the value of branding and how branding will enhance their business. With practical exercises, it will explore the role brand elements play in starting, developing, refining or diversifying a business. Particular focus will be given to brand values, purpose and architecture – but the workshop structure is intentionally flexible to accommodate other relevant areas and topics as and when they arise. Andy will select issues from the group in order to collectively discuss brand invention, comparison, competition and analysis.
Arti Halai
Arti specialises in presentation, media and communication skills and has shared her insight, experience and expertise with FTSE 100, SMEs and start-ups. Arti spent more than fifteen years working as a television presenter, reporter and producer for the BBC and the UK’s largest commercial station, ITV. During this time, Arti covered stories such as 911, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and General Elections. Having honed her story-telling skills she founded Fleet Street Communications. Her first book, Positivity was published by the HotHive press.
Arti’s session provides a clear understanding of how to design and deliver a winning pitch. Participants will gain a fresh perspective on presenting with confidence and a winning formula that will help them structure their presentation quickly and clearly. The session includes short exercises so participants can grasp key concepts for dealing with questions. Three complimentary one hour presentation coaching slots are available during the week following the session for any business that wishes test their presentation skills with Arti. These will be booked on a first come basis.
