Business Finland invites you to join the Polish–Finnish Smart Manufacturing Business Mixer, during which you will have the opportunity to pitch your offering towards managers of selected Polish factories interested in implementing industry 4.0 solutions into their production processes.

Poland is one of the focus countries of Business Finland’s Sustainable Manufacturing Program. Its solid manufacturing density provides many opportunities for technology and service providers offering solutions for smart factories. Polish manufacturing plants are gradually shifting towards industry 4.0 and innovative solutions in manufacturing, but still offer room for new technologies.

To support Finnish companies in getting access to potential clients in Poland, Business Finland has established cooperation with Hub4industry Digital Innovation Hub, managed by Krakow Technology Park. Hub4industry is a complex support center for industrial companies that want to introduce industry 4.0 solutions in their production plants and one of its goals is to connect Polish factory managers with providers of smart manufacturing solutions.

Finland has recently become the international partner of the “Industrial Innovations Radar” campaign run by Hub4industry Digital Innovation Hub. Finnish innovative industry 4.0 companies with competences in connectivity, IoT, VR/AR, artificial intelligence and predictive maintenance are featured in the campaign.

As a next step, Business Finland and Hub4industry Digital Innovation Hub arrange the Polish-Finnish Smart Manufacturing Business Mixer in Kraków. The event will be focused on matchmaking between Polish manufacturing plants representatives and Finnish suppliers. There will be approx. 10 Finnish and 10 Polish companies joining the event, and the companies will indicate their interest in bilateral meetings through a digital tool.

Who should participate in the event?

Finnish suppliers of smart manufacturing technologies and services targeted at increasing efficiency and sustainability of production processes, e.g. predictive maintenance, simulation and virtualisation, business automation and data, connectivity, quality inspection, BIM in manufacturing plants and similar.

Practicalities and COVID-19 clause

Costs of arrangements are mostly covered by Business Finland. Participants are responsible for booking and covering the cost of accommodation and flights to and from Poland. Business Finland will recommend the accommodation and provide local logistics.

Polish-Finnish Smart Manufacturing Business Mixer is planned as an on-site event in Kraków.

Business Finland and Hub4industry Digital Innovation Hub will take every effort to ensure that the event is held in compliance with all applicable sanitary rules. Business Finland will be carefully monitoring the epidemic situation and will notify Finnish companies if there is an increased safety risk related to participating in the event on-site, or if the sanitary regulations might change. It is expected that all event participants are protected against the COVID-19 by a full vaccination or a negative test result.

Due to the unsure time related to the COVID-19 pandemic measures (potential lockdown or travel restrictions), the organizers are prepared to run the event in fully virtual format, if needed and preferred by Finnish and Polish partners. Business Finland will notify the companies about potential changes of the event format until 15/11/2021.

Register your interest in joining the event no later than 15/11/2021. Please note that the number of available seats is limited. If the number of interested Finnish companies is larger than available seats, Business Finland reserves the right to select participating companies based on the interest in their offering from Polish partners.
