Forestry industry is going through an extensive transformation, with inventory, harvesting and management all going digital and data-driven.
Finland represents many of the industry best practices in terms of smart forestry solutions. Forest planning and optimization have long traditions and large forest owners are already using the data extensively in forest management. Some of the most developed harvesting and wood logistic machinery manufacturers and technology developers are in Finland.
Business Finland has launched Smart Forestry project, aiming at identifying new business opportunities in the global sustainable forestry and wood sourcing value chain. The event is addressed to present the first results of global market analysis. Finnish offering and planned next steps in the project.
