KDEB Seeks to Digitalise its Collection, Disposal and Recycling Operations in Malaysia.
KDEB Waste Management, a subsidiary company under the Selangor State Government has been appointed to take over the whole waste collection and disposal operations in Selangor, the most populated state in Malaysia starting August 2020. Due to this change, KDEB currently seeks to improve and digitalise its operations, particularly in managing about 7,000 tonnes daily generated MSW and in carrying out proper segregation and plastic recycling process during the disposal.
KDEB is currently looking at expanding its operation in wider value added services and disposal sector lifecycle: material recovery, recycling, waste to energy, waste separation, etc. and is open to working with qualified companies with experience in waste management and plastic recycling. Particularly, Finnish companies specialized in the establishment of disposal plant including waste management technologies i.e. thermal solution technology providers, mechanical biological treatment and WTE incinerator, anaerobic digestion processing, pyrolysis or thermal decomposition as well as to introduce material recovery facility and recycling facility.
KDEB Waste Management has been entrusted as Project Management Company for Solid Waste Management in Selangor since 2016.
