Portugal has multiple business opportunities regarding decarbonizing industries. We welcome you to this workshop that aims to increase collaboration between Portuguese and Finnish companies and bring Finnish know-how to players that are looking for new solutions to decarbonize and stay competitive at the same time.

Among others, IAPMEI – the Portuguese agency for innovation funding and RRFs management – has identified the following industrial sectors as particularly relevant in this regard: chemical, ceramic & glass, cement, pulp & paper, textile, foundries, and food & beverages industries. Solutions needed in the market include:

  • Portugal launched two public tenders on decarbonization of industries: offerings to help to increase energy efficiency in processes
  • Energy management and control tools
  • Industrial water recycling & reuse + recirculation supporting solutions
  • Electrification of processes
  • Renewable energy and efficiency in resources use
  • Development of more sustainable products

In February 2022 Business Finland, the Finnish Embassy in Lisbon and IAPMEI organized a webinar to present the business opportunities to decarbonize the chemical and the ceramic & glass industrial sectors in Portugal and to present two tenders under the Portuguese recovery plan and the collaboration and solutions wanted from Finnish companies. Now we continue the well-started collaboration with this event that aims to further the cooperation.
