Digital Trust Finland and Business Finland Germany have conducted a study of the German manufacturing market and its cybersecurity needs. A webinar presenting the results of the study will be held on Monday June 20th, from 15:00 to 16:30, join us to hear more about the opportunities for Finnish cybersecurity companies.

Germany has witnessed increased risks from organized cybercrime in recent years. Currently, data protection violations, the failure of IT systems and infrastructure, cybercrime and the resulting fines are threatening companies. Criminals are increasingly attacking production systems (operational technology) and paralyzing entire companies. This expands the range of points of attack from the classic IT interfaces to the core infrastructure – and this is where manufacturing companies face enormous challenges. According to the recently published Allianz Risk Barometer Report 2022, cyber perils are the biggest concern for companies globally in 2022. The threat of ransomware attacks, data breaches or major IT outages worries companies even more than business and supply chain disruption, natural disasters and climate change which all have heavily affected firms in the past year.

The webinar on Monday June 20th aims to reveal the key findings of a market analysis focusing on the German manufacturing market, highlighting the opportunities for Finnish cybersecurity companies. In the webinar, topics such as market dynamics, procurement processes, business opportunities for OT and IT cybersecurity solutions, market entry challenges and enablers, as well as value network and stakeholders will be addressed. The findings will allow Finnish companies to make strategic export decisions regarding the German manufacturing market. The webinar will be co-moderated by a German industry expert who has conducted the analysis that is primarily based on interviews with decision makers from the German manufacturing industry.
