The Embassy of Finland and Business Finland, in co-operation with The Malaysian Space Agency, organized a virtual event to explore the possibilities for co-operation between Malaysian and Finnish companies and organizations in the space sector.
Both Finland and Malaysia recognize the importance of space sector as a contributor to their economic competitiveness. In Finland New Space Economy has been developing in a rapid speed over the past few years, with new innovative companies entering the global market. Malaysia on the other hand has recognized that space capabilities, such as the use of satellite images and accurate positioning can be used to reduce cost, increase efficiency of services and encourage further innovation.
During the event, insights and overview were shared on the current space economy business landscape, hence providing platform for interaction and discussion on how Malaysian and Finnish New Space Economy companies can jointly solve global challenges and address the emerging opportunities throughout the value chain. While presenting concrete use-cases and tangible solutions, we also invited the audience to interact with the representing companies in our Q&A session.
