Zambia has experienced a strong economic growth in the recent years and the country is classified as one the fastest growing economies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Real GDP growth was recorded at more than 6% per year between 2005 and 2013, with the main drivers of growth being mining, construction and financial services.

Seminar is offered free of charge but requires a pre-registration. The seminar language is English.
The keynote speaker at the seminar will be H.E. Ms. Kayula Siame, Vice Minister, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry of the Republic of Zambia. Vice Minister will be accompanied on her visit to Finland by prominent official and business delegations focusing in finding solutions and knowhow from the following sectors: Renewable energy, mining, waste management, ICT, infrastructure, agriculture and education.
The Zambian speakers at the seminar will highlight the recent developments of Zambia’s economic and commercial fields, introduce some of the government’s focus investment plans, and introduce the Zambian delegation. Finnish speakers will focus on Finland’s innovation ecosystems and introduce funding and business services available for companies.
