CHINA IS DEVELOPING ITS WINTER SPORTS CULTURE AS THE OLYMPIC HOST CITIES BEIJING AND ZHANGJIAKOU ARE PREPARING FOR THE 2022 WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES.
There are enormous business opportunities also for Finnish companies. China needs to develop infrastructure of the winter sport facilities as well as the existing sport education. Also consumer products come into the picture when engaging new sport enthusiasts to winter sports.

To succeed in the highly competitive market, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Education have decided to set up a cluster called “Finnish Winter Sport Exports”. Cluster coordinates all governmental level efforts regarding winter sports development in China, and within the next 6 months will open several offices with local staff in strategic key locations around China.
The Finnish Winter Sport Exports cluster is in charge of the program for Minister Terho’s business delegation.
To cover the expenses, Business Finland will charge a participation fee for arrangements in China on 26-30 March 2018:
- Micro Businesses and SMEs: EUR 1785 + 24% VAT per person
- Major Companies: EUR 2100 + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above.
