South African health industry has been growing at robust rates in the recent years. Health expenditure is divided between the high-quality private sector, which caters clients from South Africa and the neighbouring countries and the overburdened highly skilled public sector that serves the vast majority of South Africans. In recent years, private health spending (€13 billion) has outstripped public spending (€12 billion).
Public and private health sector decision makers are ready for Finnish innovations and digital hospital solutions to integrate and implement systems and procedures for cutting-edge performance.
The private education sector offers business opportunities, especially in basic and secondary education, vocational training, edutech and E-learning. There are business opportunities to provide solutions and services in training and skills development as well as vocational training.
South Africa is one of the most digitally advanced countries on the African continent, and the ICT market size is estimated to be around €13 billion.
New opportunities arise both in telecommunication sector where annual investments arise up to €1,6 billion, as well as in cyber security and digitalization of services.
South African market for cyber security is the largest in the continent. It requires competitive high end solutions as well as capacity building services. Demand and investments in cyber security as well as digitalization occur specially in financial, health, education and services sectors.
South Africa provides a gateway to other African markets through large South African companies that are active specially in Southern African region.

To cover the expenses, Business Finland will charge a participation fee for arrangements in South Africa on 14-16 March 2018

• Major Companies: EUR 1800 + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above.
