We invite you to join the Team Finland visit to Germany (Hamburg and Papenburg) led by Ms. Katri Kulmuni, Minister of Economic Affairs, on 9 - 11 December, 2019.
The purpose of the visit to Hamburg and Papenburg is to enhance existing Finnish business activities in Germany and to explore new collaboration possibilities with Meyer Werft Shipyard and German System Integrators in Smart Maritime. The focus of the visit is on Smart Ports, Digital Ships, Cruise Ships and Cruise Ship Building.
Meyer Werft Papenburg is the biggest and the most advanced shipyard in Germany and is currently building cruise ships for the world’s leading cruise lines. The share of subcontracting is 75 % per cruise ship. During the visit, the delegation will have a chance to get to know some of the requirements for suppliers and visit the shipyard.
The Port of Hamburg is Germany's biggest seaport and the third largest container port in Europe with around 8 000 ship calls per year, almost 300 berths and 43 kilometers of quay for seagoing vessels.
The Team Finland visit to Germany also offers a link to German research and development programs and offers a chance to demonstrate the latest technologies to German companies and public sector organizations.
