Team Finland China is organizing a business delegation visit to Changshu in Jiangsu Province on November 24-25, 2020. The visit is led by Consul General Pasi Hellman.
This visit offers an excellent opportunity for Finnish companies that operate in sustainable manufacturing, information and digitalization and waste to energy industry sectors to further expand their presence in China.
The visit consists of meetings with relevant provincial government authorities and Chinese companies as well as seminars, round table discussions and events with locals companies and factories and a visit to Suzhou.
Changshu City lays emphasis on developing the manufacturing of vehicle, core parts and new energy vehicle (NEV) by taking advantage of “two vehicles and one center”. It makes effort to boost the development of auto full industry chain and create “China’s youngest automotive industrial base”.
It endeavors to boost equipment manufacturing industry towards intelligent manufacturing, speed up the improvement of equipment quality and technology and develop the major technical equipment key basic with independent intellectual properties.
Changshu City lays out the software and information technology service industry actively, create an industrial cluster dominated by 5G communications, smart terminals, electronic information materials and new electronic components, and cultivates “unicoms” in the information industry.
Changshu City accelerates the layout and construction of “new infrastructure”, deepens the enabling effect of the industrial Internet, develops digital technology application-oriented talents and promotes the rapid development of digital economy.
Changshu is the home base for UPM and a couple of other pulp and paper companies. Changshu garbage incineration power plant is planning its 2nd phase expansion and is looking for new solutions.
This visit is aimed for Finnish companies that are already present in China and identify themselves with sustainable manufacturing, information and digitalization and waste to energy industry sectors. Due to the current travel restrictions, this visit is offered to company representatives who are already located China.
Kindly note, that if the participating company is not a Finnish company, participation requires that the Finnish company whose interests the participating Chinese company is representing as well as the relationship between the two companies, is specified in the registration form.
To cover the expenses of arranging this visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee. Participation fee will be charged after the visit based on the actual costs. The estimated participation fee is 200 RMB/person. The price is subject to surcharges.
