Business Finland’s Smart Life Finland program and South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) are organizing a webinar on the Future NHS marketplace – Time after Covid-19 and Brexit on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00-17:00 EEST. This event is the third part of our popular webinar series “How to Access the NHS“.

The webinar will mainly focus on the three most important trends and initiatives affecting the National Health Service (NHS):

1.    Digital Transformation
2.    The integration of health and care
3.    The Build Build Build programme for NEW hospital builds

The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in the rapid adoption of digital technology in the NHS. The delivery of services has changed - video consultation is believed to have come to stay, both in primary and secondary care settings. The NHS is looking for innovations in remote monitoring also more widely, e.g. how technology can support people in their own homes, and this is also supported by fast-track procurement and tendering procedures. The NHS post Covid-19 strategy will focus on building on good practices and learnings from the pandemic to maximize value for money. Via legal backing for integrated care systems, the NHS is ready to support the development of a sustainable health and social care system for all future needs.

In addition, there is a new relationship between EU and UK which started on January 1, 2021 bringing new CE/UKCA rules, as well as data-sharing rules that determine  how aspects of cross-border health and social care are delivered and accessed. They will also govern how health data is shared for medical care and research purposes.

If the UK is one of your target markets or you are already operating in the UK and interested in new opportunities within the NHS, this webinar is for you!
