Business Finland welcomes interested Finnish companies to join an online business matchmaking with Japanese companies in the biomaterial industry on 24-26 November 2021.
Currently market for new biomaterials in Japan is particularly interesting, as the government has started introducing new environmental policies. In 2019, Japan conducted The Resource Circulation Strategy for Plastics. This strategy includes goals such as a 25% cumulative emission reduction of single-use plastics by 2030 and doubling the bioplastic production by 2030. This initiative has been widely adapted by Japanese industry ranging from packaging to different components.
For the matchmaking Business Finland will make a common presentation including the participating Finnish companies’ basic information, product description, contact details and what the company is looking for (importer, partner, R&D, funding etc.). Japanese companies will be invited to join the business matching based on these profiles, and meetings will be made according to the Japanese potential customers’ wishes, meaning you will only meet with companies that are truly interested in your company and solutions.
Who will benefit?
Finnish companies in the field of manufacturers and technology developers of new sustainable biomaterials for replacements of fossil based materials that can be used for packaging industry, electronics, various components and more.
Participating companies should have the financial resources and manpower needed to pursue business opportunities in Japan. This matchmaking has a minimum (5) and maximum (10) number of participants. We especially encourage companies that have not previously been involved in Business Finland activities in Japan to join.
Participation in the matchmaking will offer your company free visibility to Japanese companies that are in Business Finland’s and our partners' business networks.
