Team Finland China is organizing a business delegation visit to Nanjing South New Town on Tuesday April 20, 2021. The visit is led by Consul General Pasi Hellman and will focus on the education sector.
The Nanjing South New Town will be built as a China-Finland cooperation project based on the MoU for Cooperation on Construction Environment between the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China and the Ministry of the Environment of Finland. The project includes the development of a 10 square kilometer area with all infrastructure developed from scratch. A China – Finland Cooperation and Communication center will be a building complex designed by Finnish PES Architects. There will be several of Finland related functions in the center and Finnish expertise concerning building construction, smart city solution, energy, lifestyle, healthcare, sports as well as education will be highly prioritized. Nanjing South New Town will potentially bring a lot of business opportunities for Finnish companies and the Finnish education sector has a lot to offer to this project!
According to the education plan there will be several new schools built in South New Town, including 14 preschools, primary schools and international schools. The program during this visit will consist of meetings with the Education Bureau officials of Qinhuai District and a tour in South New Town.
Who is it for?
This visit is aimed for Finnish companies that are already present in China and identify themselves with education sector. Due to the current travel restrictions, the on site visit is offered only to company representatives who are already located China.
Kindly note, that if the participating company is not a Finnish company, participation requires that the Finnish company whose interests the Chinese company is representing as well as the relationship between the two companies, is specified in the registration form.
Practicalities
There are no foreseen costs for the arrangements of this delegation program and therefore there is no participation fee for this delegation. Kindly note that the meals, flights and/or accommodation shall be covered by the participant.
