Business Finland, in co-operation with the Istanbul-based consultancy company Finnturker A.S., is hosting a webinar followed by a pitching session for Finnish and Turkish companies where you can learn about industrial energy efficiency related opportunities in Turkish manufacturing industry. The webinar is organized on November 3, 2021 at 09:00-10:30 (EET Helsinki) / 10:00-11:30 (EEST Istanbul).
Turkey does not have enough natural resources to satisfy its energy demand. Import dependence in energy creates sizable current account deficit and macroeconomic instability. Turkey aims to reduce its energy import and switch to green energy to reduce its import dependence and its current account deficit. Industrial energy efficiency has an important role in the industrial sector in Turkey which has a more energy-intensive structure compared to many European peers, other advanced economies and the OECD average and the need for increasing competitiveness in the international markets is considerably effected by improving industrial energy efficiency.
The webinar participants from the Turkish side will be invited from companies, investors, independent power producers, energy service companies, state energy institutions, sectoral influencers, project developers, engineering companies, etc. to discuss about energy efficiency. Join us in this Industrial Energy Efficiency event to learn more about the possibilities of this sector, potential projects and create direct connections with stakeholders in the local market! The participants will also have an opportunity to pitch their company offering during the webinar.
Before the webinar, on November 1, 2021 at 14:00-15:00 (EET Helsinki), Business Finland Turkey will organize an info session for the Finnish company representatives participating in the webinar to provide more information about the current developments and opportunities in industrial energy efficiency in Turkey.
