This online pitching event aims to help innovation-driven Finnish companies to find potential partners or customers, and to establish solid R&D and business relationships between Finnish and companies from Jiangsu for the annual joint innovation call and beyond.
Please note that only companies from Finland and Jiangsu can participate in this event and joint innovation call.
Joint innovation call 2022 with Jiangsu
This year’s call topics include but are not limited to the following areas:
1. New-Generation Energy and Environmental Protection
New energy equipment, intelligent control technologies, new-generation clean energy, high-efficiency power batteries, water treatment, solid waste and industrial gas recycling, industrial energy conservation and consumption reduction, industrial efficiency, back-up power, etc.
2. Medical and Health
New medicine, medical apparatus and instruments, diagnosis and treatment technology (biological cellular immunotherapy, stem cell and translational studies, brain science clinical research, minimally invasive treatment, interventional diagnosis and treatment precision medicine, 3D biological printing and biomedical materials, medical big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI)), etc.
3. Digitalization and Industrial Renewal (especially Sustainable Manufacturing)
Sustainable manufacturing, smart cities, smart mobility, industrial automation, robotization, technologies (5G and future network and communication, Industrial Internet, Artificial Intelligence (AI), block chain), etc.
4. Other fields both sides agree to fund
This online matchmaking event is prioritizing the Advanced/Sustainable Manufacturing area, but other areas are welcome in case there is space available.
The deadline for the Finnish applicants regarding the call is 30 June 2022.

Info on the Jiangsu province and why one should be interested in it?
Jiangsu Province, located in the eastern coast of China, belongs to the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) area that is one of the most prosperous areas in China. Jiangsu’s estimated GDP of year 2021 was over 1500 Billion Euro and it is rated #1 province in China. The key industries in Jiangsu in the 14th Five-Year Plan include, e.g., advanced manufacturing and new energy vehicles (NEVs).
Over the past years, Business Finland has established effective frameworks to support Finland-Jiangsu innovation collaboration. We provide information sharing, organize innovation workshops, do matchmaking, give ideas for the projects and fund the most promising applications.

Pitch talk registrations have the deadline 5 May 2022, while the audience registrations are due 22 May 2022.
Please note that only a limited number of Finnish companies can be selected from the companies that have registered as pitchers due to the deadline. The selection of the Finnish companies will be done in collaboration with the Jiangsu Science & Technology Department representatives. Kindly note as well that this online matchmaking event is prioritizing the Advanced/Sustainable Manufacturing area, but other areas are welcome in case there is space available.
The selection results will be communicated to the registered Finnish companies as soon as the decisions are made (at least one week before the event) together with more detailed instructions on preparing the pitch and participating the event. Those companies that will not be selected can participate as audience.
All those who have registered by the deadline will receive a link to join the event in the e-mail a few days prior to the event.
Attendance to the matchmaking event – either as pitcher or audience – is free of charge.
Who should attend?
Finnish companies that are operating in areas relevant to the joint innovation call topics (especially in the Advanced/Sustainable Manufacturing area), driven by innovations, interested in the Chinese market and willing to work with local Jiangsu Province partners.
