Team Finland network is organizing a high-level business delegation visit to Japan on 10-13 May, 2022. The business delegation is led by Ms. Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland.

The Japanese Prime Minister Kishida has set a goal to promote Japan as a Science and Technology Nation, aiming to support research and development in emerging technologies and digital transformation. Efforts are underway across Japan to accelerate the practical application of innovative technologies.

Finland and Japan are close partners in many fields, and the collaboration has been solidified in long-standing official frameworks, such as The Joint Committee on Cooperation in Science and Technology. Finland is well known in Japan for its ICT and innovation know-how. Japan has ambitious growth strategies that could create many new interesting opportunities for further collaboration between Japan and Finland.

This high level delegation visit will concentrate on Science & Technology collaboration between Finland and Japan with main focus on cooperation opportunities in digitalization, in 5G/6G and in Super/Quantum Computing.

The delegation program in Tokyo will consist of meetings including Keidanren, networking reception and participation in a high-level seminar organized together with Tokyo University focusing on abovementioned themes of the visit.
