Business Finland is organizing a Trade mission to Madrid, Spain, for Finnish companies that have solutions to decarbonize industries on 20-23 November 2023. The main objective of the visit is to meet and discuss with potential customers and business partners as well as to explore related business opportunities, and gain valuable information.
The Spanish government foresees a public RRF EU investment of 3,1 billion euros that will allow the mobilization of up to 11,8 billion euros of total investment in decarbonization of industries. The investments in decarbonization and modernization of the manufacturing industry will promote increase the competitiveness of the sector by around 10% and the creation of some 8,000 jobs.
The objective of this trade mission is for Finnish companies to get familiar with the key players in the Spanish industry, understand their decarbonization plans, observe their implementation of decarbonization solutions, and identify their interest and priorities in new solutions.
The visit program incorporates a seminar with networking and company pitches, site visits, and customized meetings with Spanish companies offering decarbonization solutions for energy-intensive industries such as pulp & paper, food & beverage, steel, and chemicals.
The primary focus includes, but is not limited to, renewable energy projects, digitalization, energy and material efficiency, hydrogen, CBAM and carbon market solutions, as well as research and development in all the aforementioned areas.
This visit will provide companies with an opportunity to engage in discussions with potential customers and business partners and to explore relevant business prospects.
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit program in Spain participants will share the costs based on following principles:
Business Finland will invoice the participants after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above.
