Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking (EU-Rail) is the new European partnership on rail research, development and innovation (RDI) established under the Horizon Europe framework programme. The first calls for proposals as part of the EU-Rail partnership will be launched in April 2022. The first calls with contribution of EU funding worth approximately EUR 300 million to RDI activities are open to all interested partners.
The EU-Rail partnership's aim is to accelerate research and development of new technologies and operational solutions supporting the competitiveness and transformation of the European railway sector while improving sustainability.
The EU-Rail info day event is an opportunity for you to learn about the EU objectives to develop the railway sector as well as the specific themes and topics of the EU-Rail partnership. You will also get concrete information about how to participate in the calls for proposals and what type of RDI expertise is currently needed.
Participants are encouraged to submit their contact details and a description of their expertise and organisation when registering to the event. The event organisers would like to compile a portfolio of Finnish actors in the railway sector, and to share it with the founding members of the EU-Rail partnership.
The first half of the event will be in English. The second part is reserved for a presentation and discussion about the EU-Rail partnership in Finnish.
