Introducing situational awareness solutions from Finland

The Finnish Joint Offering in Situational Awareness Solutions collects together companies representing carrier platforms, sensors, connectivity, data-analysis and user interfaces.

These companies offer and build jointly situational awareness systems for non-military applications. Real-time situational awareness capabilities empowered by advances in satellite and UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) technologies are enabling stakeholders to make tactical and strategic decisions delivering efficient operations across industries and non-military functions of society. Application areas cover for example smart cities, critical infrastructures and smart agriculture. Currently identified target markets for the offering are Japan, Germany and the US.

In order to support the market activity preparation, Business Finland's New Space Economy program conducted a study of these markets jointly with the Future Watch service. This is a starting point for a continuing development process and interested Finnish companies are invited to join in and benefit from the co-operation.
