Northern Savo is a unique, easy to reach destination during all seasons. Our region is known for its joyful activities, vibrant events, rich culture, and friendly hospitality. Here you can experience nature and city life – all spiced with Savonian humor and lively attitude.
Indulge in an eclectic culinary adventure blending locally sourced wild food, creative chefs, and the city's cultural history in Kuopio, awarded the European Region of Gastronomy title for 2020-2021.
We will head west of Joensuu and arrive to the city of Kuopio by the lake Kallavesi. The city of Kuopio is surrounded by water and there are a lot of activities on the lake both in Summer and in Winter. During the two days we will get familiar to the diverse activities, excursions and attractions in the city and its surroundings.

09:00 Transfer from Joensuu to Kuopio, accompanied by your hostess Ms Sari Hyttinen
11:30 Arrival in Kuopio, visiting Kuopio Market Hall and Market Square
12:30 Lunch at Puijo Tower Restaurant and introduction of Puijo Peak
15:00 Check-out the lakeside restaurant, sauna& spa Kuopion Luoto
15:30 Boat Cruise through the Lake Kallavesi and dinner in a Kota
On the cruise we enjoy the waterfront view of the city of Kuopio navigating through a myriad of islands and the soft evening sun. We will have a delicious dinner on the island in a Kota (Lappish hut), sampling some of the local treasures such as mushrooms and berries, picked by our wilderness guide.
19:00 Return to Kuopio and transfer to the Lapland Hotels Kuopio, Check-in.

9.00 Departure to Tahko
Tahko Hill offers great possibilities all year round for outdoor activities. In the area you'll find various range of accommodation possibilities with nice hotels, apartments, and different kind of cottages.
10.00 Arrival to Tahko and Outdoor Activities
We meet up with our wilderness guide at Tahko and set off for an easy hiking tour in the Tahko gorge.
13.00 Zipline
We get to experience the longest Zipline in Finland.
14.00 Lunch in Panorama Bar on top of Tahko hill
16.00 Departure to Kuopio
17.00 Lignell & Piispanen Visitor Centre
Distillery Tour and tasting. Founded in 1852, the alcohol house Lignell & Piispanen is Finland's third oldest family business.
18.30 Kuopion Saana The sauna paradise at Kallavesi Lake
Spa-Sauna and restaurant Kuopion Saana is situated on Lake Kallavesi. We get to pamper ourselves with the luxury spa, heated infinity pool and smoke sauna. After sauna moment we´ll have dinner in the restaurant.
