Who is EU funding and the EU Financial Advisory website intended for?

Business Finland's EU funding advisory service provides guidance to those interested in receiving EU funding towards suitable funding opportunities. Beneficiaries of EU funding can be businesses, the public sector, organisations and citizens.

Beneficiaries are divided into six categories, complemented by other beneficiaries:

  1. Companies can receive financing in the form of loans, guarantees and grants. In addition, they can participate in tenders and award supply contracts.
  2. Non-profit organisations and NGOs can apply for funding if their activities support EU policies. There are several suitable programs.
  3. Young people and youth organisations
  4. Researchers can receive funding from programmes and many other sources of funding. Research and innovation play a key role in the EU's support measures.
  5. Farmers receive funding from financial instruments managed at national level. The funding priorities of the financial instruments are determined through the national action plan.
  6. General government can take advantage of a wide range of funding opportunities, including through investments and infrastructure projects.

Other beneficiaries are actors outside this list who can be granted EU support. These include the state that has faced an economic crisis, as well as initiatives related to migration and security.
