The Food from Finland program is participating in building a sustainable food industry in Finland. We help companies to grow their exports and international know-how.
Food from Finland is proud to present Finnish food companies to international buyers in a multitude of ways and to boost Finland's image as a country producing high-quality food. We encourage companies to develop new innovations and to forge partnerships with research organizations.
The program focuses on the development and growth of the Finnish food industry and on the promotion of exports with branded products and services offering high added value. We help Finnish food-industry companies in gaining access to the rapidly changing international food markets by utilizing new innovation and business know-how and research that supports the sector's competitiveness.
The Food from Finland program offers versatile services which are linked to all the themes of Business Finland and benefit the Finnish food companies in a completely novel way. Program operations include the supporting of food-sector ecosystems and food innovations especially aimed at consumers, expanding the know-how related to branding and international business operations, encouraging extensive cooperation and concrete and efficient promotion of exports in selected target markets. Export and internationalization services are tightly linked with Business Finland’s innovation funding.

The Food from Finland -program was started in 2014 and it is funded by both the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. We work in close cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Finnish Food Authority, Finnish Food and Drink Industries' Federation and several other operators in the sector.

The program’s target group is the Finnish food and beverage manufacturers with a preference given to healthy, safe and innovative products. The program also serves the service providers of the food industry who work in close cooperation with the Finnish food industry, as well as other interest groups and partners in the ecosystems of food industry.

The programme is for companies who wish to expand their understanding on packaging and its role in food export. The coaching is in English and it is free of charge.
The program is carried out as a series of webinars which consist of a keynote speech and workshops.
Keynote speech: Open for everyone. Duration 1 hour.
Workshops: Limited number of company spaces. Available spaces are filled in order of enrolling. Companies participating in workshops will be given a pre-assignment which will be discussed in guided small groups. The results are made available to the company for later use. Duration 1 hour 30 min.
