Before you sign up, make sure your information is up to date. You can update your email address yourself, which serves as the username of the e-service.

In connection with Suomi.fi identification, you will automatically receive a proposal for the deployment of Suomi.fi Messages. The deployment will not affect the receipt of Business Finland's official mail, as we do not use Suomi.fi Messages.

From 11 June 2025 onwards, logging in will always be done through the Suomi.fi identification service, SMS identification (username and password combination) will no longer be in use.

Delays in funding decisions and payments

The processing of ,Tempo, Market Explorer and Exhibition Explorer applications is currently congested, but we aim to make all decisions by the end of the year.

Some of the R&D funding decisions for the rest of the year will have to be postponed to 2026. Payments of grants and loans, as well as responses to funding-related inquiries, are also delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience these delays may cause.

Register

After registering, you can start filling in a new application. The e-service automatically adds the project administrator rights to the person who opens and saves the application for the first time. The administrator has the right to manage user rights. Add responsible and contact persons for your project, as well as other people you want to be able to view and fill in the application.

If you need rights to a project that is already running and you are not the main user of the project, ask the administrator to add rights to the project for you. Business Finland's customer advisor can also add rights to you at the request of the responsible manager. Submit a request using the form. Project rights are added to the same email address with which you have registered in the e-service.

Make sure that your information is up to date in the e-service. You can update your phone number and email address, which serves as the username of Business Finland's e-service. If you need the rights for a new project, ask the administrator to add the project rights to the same email address that you use as the username for the e-service.

Manage permissions

Project administrator
The project administrator can grant and remove access to project data. The e-service automatically adds the project administrator rights to the person who opens and saves the application for the first time.

Add users to an approved project

Sign in to User Rights Manager. You'll see the items where you're an administrator.
Select an organization and project.
Go to the 'Roles' tab and select a role, for example, 'User'.
Select 'Invite users to role' from the drop-down menu.
Fill in the required user information and select 'Information ok'. The project rights must be added to the same email address with which the user has registered in the e-service.
The registered user is then automatically granted access to the project. If the invited user has not yet registered for the e-service, the role invitation will send an email to the user and they must register using the link in the email, after which they will receive access rights to the project. The user invitation is valid for 2 days.
Remove users from the project

First, select the project and then select 'Users'.

Organization administrator
If your organisation has a large number of ongoing projects funded by Business Finland, we recommend that the organisation has an administrator. An organization administrator can assign and remove organization permissions. An administrator is typically needed in universities and large companies.

How to apply to become an organization's administrator

Register as a user
Fill, sign, and scan the form and send it via secure email connection. Appointing an administrator always requires the approval of the organization's official signatory.
Remove users from a project or organization

Remove organization-level users from the 'User'' tab.
To remove project-level users, first select the project and then select 'Users'.

Apply for financing in the online service

We handle all project-related information with the utmost confidentiality. However, after the funding application has been submitted, the applicant's name, the amount of funding applied for and the application's record number are public information. The name of the applicant who has received a negative funding decision and the funding applied for are also public information. Read the terms of use of the e-service and the privacy policy.

If you want to cancel your application, do so from the Summary and submission page of the application. Cancelling the application will end the processing. Only the administrator of the application, the responsible manager indicated on the application, the contact person or a person with the right to represent the company can send the cancellation of the application.

Approve the funding decision

Read the instructions for approving the funding decision and monitoring costs on the page Project start and cost monitoring. If you do not have the right to represent the company alone entered in the Trade Register, accept the funding decision using the form. Approve the decision in the e-service

In some financial services, it is possible to transfer the financing decision to another company; read more on the page Changes, under Business arrangement and/or transfer of decision to another company.

Report on the project and notify of changes

The report and the settlement can be made by several people, but not at the same time. Persons who have a valid right to act on behalf of the project can view and fill in the report. Only the principal investigator of the project or a person with the right to represent the company can approve and submit the report to Business Finland.
