Business Finland invites Finnish energy companies and stakeholders to a webinar presenting the key findings of a newly completed market study on flexible energy systems in Australia. Australia is an interesting showcase globally because:

  • World-leading rooftop solar penetration - one in three homes has rooftop solar (4m+ systems).
  • Decentralised capacity will exceed 40% of total capacity by 2050  (was near 0% in 2010 and is 29% today).
  • Islanded long grids with no international neighbours, energy-only market and coal phasing out.
  • Annualised capital cost of AU$122 billion to 2050 needed to meet Federal and State policy targets.

Australia is accelerating the integration of renewable energy at record pace, making flexibility a critical enabler for a secure, affordable and decarbonized power system. This webinar will present key findings from a new market study on Flexible Energy Systems in Australia and outline where Finnish solutions can create value across demand response, distributed energy resources (DER), virtual power plants (VPPs), energy storage, EV smart charging and digital grid services.

Join to understand the market outlook, regulation, routes to market and concrete partnering opportunities.

Who should join?

Finnish companies and organizations interested in opportunities in the Australian energy market.
