Singapore’s digital economy is a dynamic growth engine in Southeast Asia, offering Finnish companies a unique platform for co-development of data-driven solutions. In 2023,  Singapore’s digital economy contributed about 17.7% of GDP (US$84.5 billion) and grew at an 11.2% CAGR – nearly double the overall economy’s growth (trade.gov). This robust growth is underpinned by strong national digital infrastructure, progressive data governance,  and proactive government programs to foster innovation.

Singapore has positioned itself as a trusted, interoperable, and sustainable data hub for Asia, with active efforts to enable  “data free flow with trust” across borders. For Finnish firms – recognized globally for strengths in interoperability, cybersecurity, green tech, and industrial AI – Singapore’s ecosystem presents an ideal launchpad to co-develop solutions that can scale across ASEAN.

Our study has identified five high-potential co-development opportunity areas in Singapore’s data economy that align with Finnish capabilities:

  • Data-Driven Trade & Logistics
  • Sustainable Finance & ESG Data
  • Smart Energy & Built Environment
  • Smart Mobility & Urban Solutions
  • Sustainable Digital Infrastructure (Data Centers & Cloud)

Could Singapore be the next focus country for your company? You can join the webinar free of charge, and it is held in English. Come and learn about the business opportunities and discuss the future steps together with others!
