Business Finland’s Defense and Digital Resilience program and the Embassy of Finland in Sweden is organizing a webinar to present opportunities for the Finnish defense industry in Sweden, with a focus on the domains communications and logistics. With the help of the consultant firm Knowit AB, a study has been done to identify market opportunities in Sweden within these sectors.

Sweden’s defense logistics and secure communications systems are being adapted to meet the requirements of NATO membership, total defence, and Host Nation Support, increasing demands on transport, infrastructure, energy supply, secure communications, and supply-chain resilience.

The Swedish Government has allocated approximately 225 bn SEK (20.6 bn EUR) for defense and crisis preparedness in the state budget for 2026. Investments and reforms are underway in areas such as convoy support, logistics infrastructure, energy and power supply, and secure communications and IT systems, including in strategically important regions such as Northern Sweden.

Swedish defence and civil preparedness needs are shaped by multiple authorities, including the Swedish Armed Forces, FMV, and MCF, with distinct roles in requirement setting, procurement, and coordination.

This webinar will consist of a presentation of the findings from the market study; Opportunity verification on logistical and communication needs in Swedish defense. There will be time for questions and comments at the end of the webinar, where questions can be addressed to Jaime Rico, Head of International Sales Defense, Knowit and Juha Kilpi, Finland’s defense attaché to Sweden.'
