Team Finland visit to Paraguay

Paraguay is often described as Latin America’s hidden gem — a stable, business-friendly country with a highly competitive 10–10–10 tax system and outstanding renewable energy resources. Its major hydropower plants make Paraguay one of the world’s most efficient and affordable producers of renewable energy. A significant emerging opportunity is Paracel, the country’s first pulp mill project, representing EUR 4–5 billion in planned investments and driving developments in forestry, ports, energy, and digital infrastructure. As part of the delegation program, we will arrange meetings with Paracel and other key stakeholders in Paraguay.

This visit is organized to coincide with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Annual Governors’ Meeting, offering Finnish companies a unique platform to meet representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank Group, connect with finance ministers of the whole LAC region and private-sector leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean.

PRACTICALITIES

To cover the costs of arranging the visit to Paraguay, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.

• Micro businesses and SMEs: EUR 1105 + 25,5% VAT per person
• Major companies: EUR 1300 + 25,5% VAT per person

Please note that participation in the Inter-American Development Bank program (IDB) on March 11-14 is free of charge but requires an invitation by IDB and registration. Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program.
