Since its inception as the Great Exhibition in 1851, the World Expo has been a platform for the countries of the world to showcase their vision for the future, including technology, culture, and international exchange. At Expo 2025 in Osaka, Finland and the Nordic countries will together be showcasing our region as a powerhouse of battery innovation offering sustainable materials sourcing, cutting-edge manufacturing processes, and circular economy solutions that address the full battery lifecycle.
The Nordic Battery Days are organized jointly by Nordic Battery Collaboration (Finland, Norway and Sweden) and will take place over four days - starting on the 16th of September in Tokyo by hosting Nordic Battery Collaboration seminar targeting battery stakeholders in Tokyo including high level networking, and on the 17th visiting Battery Japan, the world's leading trade fair showcasing a wide range of technologies, components, materials, and devices for rechargeable battery development and manufacturing. Battery Japan is a great platform to learn about the latest trends and developments in the battery industry, and to network with other professionals in the field.
Another key event will be a Nordic Battery Day seminar at the Nordic Pavilion at Expo Osaka on September 18th including Nordic-Japanese Executive roundtable focusing on battery technology partnerships and investment opportunities. There will be also a network reception afterwards at the pavilion connecting Nordic innovators with potential Japanese partners, investors, and customers across the battery ecosystem.
The final program will be a site visit to Japanese battery manufacturer on September 19th.
