Business Finland China is organizing a local trade mission to the Shandong province (Qingdao and Yantai) on 26 - 29 March 2024. The focus of this visit is Industrial Digitalization (incl. digitalization, smart manufacturing, maritime and ports). This is a follow up visit to the Team Finland China delegation visit to Shandong in May 2023.
Shandong Province, situated on the eastern edge of the North China Plain, spans approximately 158 000 square kilometers and has a population of over 101 million (2022). The GDP reached 9.21 trillion yuan (1.18 trillion Euro) in 2023, an increase of 6 percent from the previous year, ranking no. 3 in China.
There has already been cooperation with many companies in Shandong (Qingdao and Yantai) and the region has a big potential from which Finnish companies would benefit further. This upcoming visit will explore more business opportunities.
Who should attend?
This local trade mission to Shandong is aimed for Finnish companies that are already present in China, have joined Team Finland China business delegation to Shandong last year and hope to enhance the cooperation in Qingdao and Yantai.
Kindly note, that if the participating company is not a Finnish company, participation requires that the Finnish company whose interests the Chinese company is representing as well as the relationship between the two companies, is specified in the registration form.
Practicalities
To cover the expenses of arranging this visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee based on actual costs. The participation fee will be charged after the visit when the costs are known.
