Business Finland and the Embassy of Finland in Türkiye invite Finnish technology and services providers to join the Ankiros Trade Fair in Istanbul. Ankiros Trade Fair is the leading metallurgy fair in Türkiye, and it has a special steel section where in addition to the international suppliers of the steel industry, the leading producers of the iron and steel industry and steel service centers has the opportunity to exhibit their developing technologies, services and products in the special iron and steel hall.
Ankiros Trade Fair is organized once in every two years, and in 2022, the trade fair had over 1000 Exhibitors from 46 countries. The trade fair was visited by nearly 20 000 visitors in 2022 of which over 2000 were from 81 countries. Ankiros has a special steel section which brings together not only the whole steel producers in Türkiye but also national and international product, service, and technology providers for the steel industry.
Within the trade fair, there will also be an International Metallurgy and Materials Congress where researchers, professionals (from industry, policy makers, entrepreneurs, civil society members and governance), and world-renowned scientists come together. Team Finland Türkiye is also planning to organize a session/panel to introduce Finnish competence for the decarbonization of the steel industry.
By taking part in the visit, you will get the following:

Who should attend?
This visit is aimed for Finnish product, technology and services providers for the decarbonization of the steel industry, with particular emphasis on DRI (Direct Reduction of Iron) related projects for electric furnace companies, renewable energy projects especially rooftop solar, direct emission reduction solutions such as carbon capture, digitalization solutions, energy and material efficiency solutions such as process monitoring and control solutions, gas emission monitoring, energy efficient technologies, etc., hydrogen energy solutions, CBAM and carbon market solutions such as carbon footprint calculations & reports, carbon emissions offsetting, etc. and battery storage solutions.
Practicalities & Participation fee
To cover the expenses of arranging the trade mission program, Business Finland will charge a participation fee. The participation fee includes the pass for the International Metallurgy and Materials Congress (entrance to the Ankiros Trade Fair is free of charge).
- Micro Businesses and SMEs: 1280 EUR + 25,5% VAT per person
- Major Companies: 1500 EUR + 25,5% VAT per person
This visit is organized if at least 7 companies sign up. Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the trade mission program.
