Business Finland and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry together with other Team Finland partners welcome you to join this visit on 2-5 September focusing on opportunities in the food and beverage sector in Japan and South Korea.
The visit program provides you with an opportunity to showcase your products, meet local importers, retailer chains and buyers in Osaka and in Seoul, as well as to network with other Nordic food companies. A media event will also be part of the program.

Why Join?
This visit offers an excellent opportunity for Finnish food and beverage companies to take advantage of the numerous economic opportunities offered by the leading economies in east Asia. It allows the participants to establish high-level business connections with local partners in visited cities, explore collaboration opportunities, and find suitable buyers and/or channel partners which can support brands entering the market.
Who should attend?
Food and beverages sector companies focusing on Asian markets. Meat, oats, confectionary, chocolates, beverages, functional food for babies and/or elderly and other products targeting either retail, food service channels or food industry. Companies can be large or medium sized, having already the readiness to start export business to east Asia.
Practicalities
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit program in Japan and South Korea participants will share the costs based on following principles:
- Major companies:2000 EUR + 25,5 % VAT per person
- SME’s and Micro companies: 1700 EUR + 25,5 % VAT per person
Flights and accommodation are not included in the participation fee.
Business Finland will invoice the participants after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will partly cover the cost of organizing the visit.
Another event led by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry at the Nordic Circle Osaka will take place in 24 and 25 September. The focus of these two days will be on innovative forest bioeconomy and Sustainable future food systems.
