Business Finland is hosting an info session on March 25, 2025, at 09:45– 12:00 focusing on the ScaleUp in Brazil & TechMakers Programs. Programs by ApexBrasil – the Brazilian government’s agency for trade and investment promotion – are tools designed to support business development and facilitate Research, Development, and Innovation projects for those interested in the Brazilian market.
During this event, you will learn about two key programs offered by ApexBrasil and its partners:
ScaleUp in Brazil
Soft-landing program designed to support startups from Finland, Israel, Japan, and Singapore in establishing operations in the Brazilian market. This initiative equips international tech companies with essential tools and methodologies to navigate Brazil's business landscape, offering services in business development, strategic planning, and access to the country’s investor and innovation ecosystem.
Launched in 2019 by the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (ABVCAP), the Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency (ApexBrasil), and Israel Trade & Investment, the program is now in its fifth edition. It has accelerated 66 companies, with 13 successfully establishing operations in Brazil.
TechMakers
Program established through partnership between ApexBrasil and Embrapii (the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Research and Innovation). Approved research and development projects receive funding from both Brazilian and international sources. The program aims to foster partnerships between Brazilian and foreign companies for the co-development of R&D&I projects, with partial funding provided by Brazil and the partner country. It is currently available for and Finland and Israel, starting in September 2025.

This event is intended for Finnish companies that identify Latin America, and more specifically Brazil, as one of their target markets and are exploring opportunities to enter the market, whether through new market development or collaboration in R&D&I projects.
