Finnish ambassadors from the UK and Ireland will visit Helsinki for an event organised by Business Finland, EK, Palta, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Finnvera. The event will focus on service export opportunities in the UK, Ireland, and beyond, with a focus on ICT services across various industries. Finnvera will also present financial solutions to support service exports.
The UK and Ireland present significant opportunities for Finnish service export companies, offering a well-developed service sector and strong global business connections. The UK, the world’s fifth-largest economy, serves as a major hub for international trade, while Ireland is known for robust economic growth and a favourable business climate. Both countries value Finnish companies' reliability, quality, and technological expertise, facilitating integration and collaboration with local businesses.
In 2023, the UK and Ireland were the second and fourth largest global service exporters, with service exports of EUR 585 billion and EUR 398 billion, respectively. Both nations also serve as gateways to North America and Asia.
