The Team Finland network is organizing a Business Delegation visit to Morocco on 28 - 29/30 April, 2025. Delegation will be led by Mr. Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development. This visit offers Finnish companies an exclusive gateway to one of Africa’s most dynamic and rapidly evolving digital economies. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with Moroccan decision-makers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders to explore new avenues for collaboration.

Opportunities In Morocco’s Digital Transformation: Healthcare, Industry, And Infrastructures Development

Morocco’s ambitious “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy is set to transform the country’s economy, focusing on job creation, the digitalization of public services, startup ecosystem growth, and the nationwide rollout of 5G. This strategic push opens exciting opportunities for Finnish expertise in various fields, including health technology, telemedicine solutions, digital training platforms, software development, startup incubation, advanced port management, logistics optimization, and digital tools for supply chain management.

As Morocco accelerates its digital transformation, Finnish companies have a unique chance to bring their world-class technological innovations to a rapidly expanding market. With Finland’s strong reputation in digital solutions and cutting-edge technology, this delegation visit provides a strategic advantage for companies looking to establish long-term partnerships in North Africa.

Morocco will organize the 2030 FIFA World Cup jointly with Spain and Portugal. This tournament will feature cutting-edge technologies like 5G networks, AR/VR experiences, advanced player tracking, and sustainable innovations for Stadiums.

By joining this delegation, participants will gain direct access to key decision-makers, explore high-impact business opportunities, and position themselves at the forefront of Morocco’s digital revolution.

Who should attend?

This delegation visit is ideal for Finnish companies that provides solutions for:

Healthcare
The Moroccan government is prioritizing the digitalization of public services, including healthcare. This initiative aims to develop telemedicine and strengthen digital infrastructure within the healthcare system. Finnish companies specializing in health technology, telemedicine solutions, and digital health records can find opportunities to collaborate with Moroccan institutions to enhance healthcare delivery.

Digitalization Initiatives
Morocco’s strategy includes creating 240,000 digital jobs by 2030 and training 100,000 young people annually in digital professions. The plan also focuses on increasing digital exports and establishing 3,000 startups by 2030. Finnish firms with expertise in digital training programs, software development, 5G technologies and startup incubation can engage in partnerships or provide services to support these goals. One of the key issues is the rollout of public and also private 5G networks and our offering/expertise.

Port Operations and Logistics
The implementation of PortNet, Morocco’s national single window for foreign trade, has streamlined port operations by connecting various stakeholders through a unified digital platform. This system has reduced the time and cost associated with trade operations. Finnish companies offering advanced port management solutions, logistics optimization, and digital tools for supply chain management can explore collaborations to further enhance Morocco’s port efficiency.
