We are inviting companies to join the Team Finland visit to Nigeria and take part in Nordic Nigeria Connect 2025. In addition to the Nordic Nigeria Connect 2025, the visit will provide a platform for connections with Nigerian distributors, integrators, and other partners to address local market challenges and bring business opportunities for Finnish companies.

Co-hosted for the fourth time by the Nordic embassies in Nigeria and this year coordinated by Finland, Nordic Nigeria Connect has become the premier meeting point for business communities. Both Nigerian and Nordic businesses find the event valuable, and with three successful editions already (in 2019, 2021, and 2023), the event’s brand is gaining wider recognition.

The 2025 conference “Forging Partnerships for Sustainable Impact” will be a one-day event showcasing sustainable Nordic solutions to globally shared challenges, such as

  • green and digital transitions
  • security across industries
  • healthcare
The conference will be held on the 21st of October in Lagos, one of the world’s largest cities and will focus also on innovative solutions for rapidly growing urban areas. The event will be invitation based, bringing together up to 350 important players in the sustainable business field of Nigeria.

Why attend?

  • There is currently a great demand for all kinds of smart energy solutions, from conventional to renewables and from power generation to distribution and storage. For example, in the biggest city Lagos, only 1/8 of the power consumption comes from the national grid. The rest of the electricity in Lagos primarily comes from diesel generators.
  • Fifteen years ago, Finland established its centers of excellence and built capacity for medical tourism. Now, Nigeria is following by creating centers of excellence that offer world-class medical services in specialties such as cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, and fertility treatments. Currently, Nigerians spend $2 billion annually on medical tourism abroad. Nigeria aims to make a significant shift by attracting patients from other African countries and beyond for specialized surgeries and treatments. To provide high-quality services, these centers require advanced technology.
  • Nigeria has Africa’s largest ICT market, leading the continent in telecom subscriptions and internet usage
  • Engage with leading distributors, integrators, and engineering companies to address local market challenges.
