Business Finland is pleased to invite Finnish AI and data economy companies to participate in a trade mission to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This mission offers a unique and valuable opportunity to explore new markets, foster partnerships, and showcase Finnish expertise in the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and the data economy.
The UAE is on a remarkable journey to become a global leader in AI by 2031, with a focus on transforming government services, smart cities, mobility, and logistics. This visit offers an exceptional opportunity for Finnish companies to connect and showcase their expertise to key public and private sector players in the UAE, including digital authorities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, ministries, transportation agencies, telecom providers, and other influential stakeholders.
At the end of 2024, Business Finland conducted market research and identified key stakeholders in the UAE working on AI implementation. Who should attend?
This trade mission has been specifically designed and targeted for Finnish commercial companies interested in, or already active in, the UAE markets. For this visit, Business Finland has established contacts with public sector/government services, as well as potential buyers and co-developers who are keen to explore innovative uses of AI and data. Specific areas of interest include government services, smart cities, mobility, and logistics. We are looking for companies that have the capabilities to enter the market in this region and can either offer ready-made, off-the-shelf solutions or have the interest and means to better understand the market and co-develop solutions with partners in the UAE. Key focus areas include:
- AI-powered service automation (e.g., chatbots, e-forms, decision-making support)
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) for multilingual public service delivery
- AI for predictive policing and behavioural analytics
- Process automation for paperless governance
- AI-driven waste, water, and energy optimization
- Smart infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
- Urban traffic prediction and control systems
- Traffic AI and real-time route optimization
- Smart fleet management and autonomous delivery
- AI-based logistics systems for ports and free zones
Practicalities & participation fee
To cover the expenses of arranging the trade mission in the UAE on December 8-11, 2025, Business Finland will charge a maximum participation fee as follows:
- Micro Businesses and SMEs: 1275 EUR + VAT (25.5) per person
- Major Companies: 1500 EUR + VAT (25.5) per person
The visit will be confirmed upon the registration of a minimum of eight companies. Participation is limited to a maximum of 12 companies, with no more than two representatives per company.
A 25% discount on the participation fee will be granted for each additional representative from the participating company. Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit, based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. The participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the trade mission program.
