Business Finland's new organization will begin in January 2026

Business Finland's renewed organization will start on January 1, 2026, with the beginning of a new strategy period.

In Finland, Business Finland will focus on building innovation-driven sustainable growth by offering funding, growth and internationalization advisory services, and networking services to companies and research organizations aiming for ambitious renewal and growth.

Starting from January 2026, Business Finland will have, in addition to Finland, offices in 11 countries, with the mission of promoting international investments, attracting tourists, and bringing in talent to Finland. Additionally, Business Finland will have an EU office in Brussels.

As part of the organizational reform, Business Finland’s foreign operations related to export promotion will transfer to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. From the beginning of 2026, Finnish companies will receive internationalization services abroad from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Finland’s network of diplomatic missions around the world.

Business Finland’s organization in Finland and abroad as of January 1, 2026:

  • In Finland, Business Finland will have offices in Helsinki, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Kemi, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Mikkeli, Oulu, Pori, Rovaniemi, Seinäjoki, Tampere, Turku, and Vaasa.
  • Visit Finland, specializing in tourism promotion within Business Finland, is builds Finland’s image as an internationally attractive travel destination and supports international growth of tourism companies and business groups. Visit Finland operates abroad in Spain, France, Germany, the USA, China, and Japan.
  • Business Finland promotes the attraction of international investments to Finland. Invest in Finland operates in Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the USA, India, China, Japan, and Korea.
  • The Work in Finland function within Business Finland supports Finnish companies in attracting, recruiting and managing international talent through marketing communications, events, advisory services, networking with reliable partners, and coaching. Work in Finland operates in India and Vietnam.
  • Business Finland promotes EU RDI funding and collaboration in Finland,and follows up EU innovation policy and creates networks at the EU office in Brussels, Belgium.
