Finland is set to shine at Expo 2025 Osaka with special Finland Day celebrations on June 12, 2025. The day will include the official ceremony with cultural performances from Finland, many world-famous Finnish symbols such as Santa Claus, Moomin and sauna. The day will end with “Party like a Finn – Rock & Fashion” evening party.
The theme of Finland Day is "Happiness Day of Finland", offering visitors of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to experience the elements of Finnish happiness.
President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb, will join the Expo 2025 in Osaka. President Stubb will open the Finland’s National Day. In addition to President Stubb, also Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, Ville Tavio, other members of parliament and leaders of Finnish companies partnering with the Expo will be in attendance at the ceremonies and participate in cooperation with Japan and other participants.
“The starting point for the planning of Finland Day was to do something fun, and offer different experiences for every Expo visitor. From the beginning, we wanted to bring together different Finnish industries and culture to create a unique combination that would make Finland unforgettable for the Expo visitors,” says Finland’s Commissioner General Nita Pilkama.
Finnish lifestyle and sustainable textiles take the stage along with artist performances in the “Party Like a Finn – Rock & Fashion” event in the evening. Performers include Tuuletar, who is known for vocal performance with fierce energy, beatbox rhythms and other worldly harmonies, and Käärijä, best known for winning the audience vote by a wide margin in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

During Finland Day we will highlight Finnish innovations in fashion and textiles both during the day and in the evening party,” Pilkama continues.
