Partnership Future of Food Systems will open a call for transnational research projects in November

The European Partnership for a sustainable Future of Food Systems (FutureFoodS) pre-announces the 2nd co-funded call for transnational research projects (pre-announcement). The opening of the call is expected in the second half of November 2025 and the dead line for pre-proposal submission will probably be in the end of January 2026. Details presented in this document may be subject to change before the opening of the call.

See the pre-announcement

Topics of the call are:

  • Topic 1: Domestic food practices for enhancing sustainable and healthy diets
  • Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
  • Topic 3: Trust and transparency in sustainable food systems

In Finland, the funding organisations are Business Finland and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MMM). The actual call announcement will provide more detailed information, such as national conditions and amounts of funding. However, it is advisable to start planning the collaborative projects already now so that Finnish companies in the field would also be included (a prerequisite for funding from Business Finland).

Applicants are advised to contact the contact persons of the call in good time before submitting their application, in order to avoid conflicts with national conditions.
