The President of the Republic has granted the annual internationalisation awards to three companies and one community. Orion Corporation won the 2025 Growth Company Award. The Newcomer Company Award went to Sensofusion, and Sandvik Mining and Construction was recognised as the Long-term International Investor. The year’s Community Award was granted to the Finnish Startup Community.

Investment aid promotes economic growth and supports the achievement of climate goals
Business Finland has granted an investment grant for the Novana Oy´s project to build the world's first carbon-neutral vanadium production plant in Tahkoluoto, Pori. As part of the government's industrial policy measures, Business Finland is accelerating industrial investments industrial aligned with the clean transition. Investment grants totaling €311 million has been awarded in 2025. The processing of tax credit applications is currently underway, with the total amount of applied credits just under €3 billion.

NestAI’s develops physical AI for unmanned systems with the support of Business Finland
NestAI, a rapidly growing European physical AI lab, builds next-generation AI across domains such as logistics, inspection, surveillance, security and defence. NestAI’s core is its open, modular, and interoperable platforms for unmanned systems and command and control (C2). NestAI initiated the development in early 2025, with instrumental support from Business Finland, which enabled building the first working prototypes.

Two new funding calls open for food companies pursuing international growth
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and midcap companies in the food and beverage sector will soon have access to two complementary funding opportunities to accelerate international growth. Food Exhibition Explorer provides grants for company groups to participate in international business-to-business exhibitions. Food Market Explorer, on the other hand, supports market research and the identification of potential customers or distributors.

Reminder to funding beneficiaries: deadlines for final reports must be met
Business Finland will tighten project reporting practices at the beginning of 2026. It is essential to be very careful, as funding will not be paid if the final project report is not submitted by the deadline. The changes apply to both new projects and those already in progress.
