Brief summary of the RAMP call
RAMP (Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition) is a new European co-funded partnership through which international RDI consortium projects in raw material value chains are funded. RAMP supports Europe’s green and digital transition by ensuring a sustainable and resilient supply and use of raw materials. The partnership is expected to launch around Q2/2026, at which point the first funding call will open following Grant Agreement with the EU commission. The first funding decisions are anticipated in 2027. RAMP will run for a total of 11 years and will include 7 annual transnational funding calls.
Brief summary of Horizon Europe calls for the mining and minerals sector
For the mining and minerals sector, relevant Horizon Europe opportunities are mainly found under Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry and Space), especially in the Materials & Production destination. The calls typically fund international R&I consortia that improve Europe’s access to (critical) raw materials and strengthen circularity across the value chain - from exploration and extraction to processing and recycling - while contributing to sustainability and industrial competitiveness.
